    Description

This is a 1988 AIDS benefit poster, A Quilt of the American Theatre, produced by Broadway Cares.  It has been mounted on foam core.  This poster was signed by 33 theatre stars as part of a fundraising auction for research funds.  Unfortunately, the list of who signed it is long gone... but some of the signers have been identified with the help of a Hollywood entertainment lawyer who was working on Broadway in the late 1980s. 15 remain unidentified.
The poster measures 24" x 36", and by itself is rare and a historical touchpoint on the fight against AIDS.
    Identified signatures:
    Tony Randall (picture 6, center)
    Vanessa Redgrave (picture 7, top)
    Sting (picture 4, left)
    Sheldon Harnick (picture 3, right)
    Peter Hall (picture 3, bottom)
    Jim Dale (picture 3, top)
Alvin Epstein (picture 8, bottom left)
David Dukes (picture 8, center left)
Fred Ebb (picture 3, right top)
John A. Rubenstein (picture 4, left bottom)
Martin Charnin (picture 6, center right)
    Robert Westenberg (picture 3, center)
    Colin Romoff (picture 4, top)
    Peter Gennaro (picture 5, bottom)
Brad D. Wong (picture 6, top left)
    Joanna Gleason (picture 7, bottom)
Maureen McGovern (picture 7, above Joanna Gleason)
Marilyn Cooper (picture 8, bottom right)
    ...................................
Due to the large size of the poster and the rigidity of the foam core backing, the packaging is oversized and will require higher postage than the light weight alone might suggest.
