A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, was a smash Broadway hit in 1964
, followed by a movie version and numberless regional theater productions.
In 1972, the first Broadway revival
of the play ran for 156 performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, as shown here. Phil Silvers replaced Zero Mostel in the starring role of Pseudolus. This program has been signed by ten of the
    members of the 1972 cast
    :
    JOHN HANSEN
, in the role of Hero, a love struck young Roman.
    KEITA KEITA
    and
    LAUREN LUCAS
    played courtesans Vibrata and Tintinabula.

    LIZABETH PRITCHETT

    , but were Broadway actresses:

    Follies
    at the Winter Garden Theater.
    KERRY McGRATH
    would soon appear in
    Lorelei
