by tangle net in 80 meters of water, Manila Bay, the Philippines.  You know, it is amazing that beauties like this are found in the muddy waters of Manila Bay, unbelievable, no wonder they were ultra-rare until recent times!  And who in the world decided to be the first one to try collecting them there, I mean, you would've had to have snuck out in the middle of the night, just so your friends wouldn't know and laugh themselves to death at how foolishly you were behaving, so really, who was the first guy to try this?  But the shell does like to live in muddy water, and just recently I learned that small epitoniums are found on the beach here after storms, and the waters around Galveston are just as muddy as the waters of Manila Bay.  It just makes me think about what one would catch using a tangle net around

As for normal disclaimers, we do the best we can with photos, but color is tricky, especially since cell phone cameras automatically lean towards flesh-tone coloring, (that's why so many of the photos of shells on eBay show up with more orange than is really there, the camera changes the color, and damm if I can figure out how to stop that from happening, but I try, honest!
