Karloff
(1887-1969, born William Henry Pratt in Camberwell, London, England) was an English actor. Karloff had originally wanted a career in the diplomatic service, but he instead became
one of Hollywood's most frightening actors.
In 1931,
he starred as the monster in the original
Frankenstein
, a role that had been turned down by Bela Lugosi.
Karloff, who also scared the daylights out of movie-goers in the films
The Mummy
(1932) and
The Ghoul
(1933), also hosted and occasionally starred in the TV series
Thriller
.
He gave one of the best of his many film performances in the 1968 Peter Bogdanovich film

in which he virtually played himself: an aging star of horror movies.
Dr. Seuss fans may know him in a very different role: as the narrator and the voice of the Grinch in the 1966 TV show

, now a holiday classic.
Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Front cover has small piece missing from top right corner. Back cover is lightly torn, with tape remnant and missing left corner. Pages 15 and 16 have separated from staples, and pages 25 and 26 are missing. Ink transference inside show bill. Otherwise in fine condition.

Return Policy:
If any substantial defect not described in the item listing is found by the purchaser, the item(s) must be returned within 3 days of receipt. Item(s) may not be returned except for reasons of authenticity or substantial defect in description. We warrant to the original purchaser for a period of ten (10) years from the date of the sale the authenticity of any autograph offered by HistoryForSale. Buyers will be sent payment instructions following their purchase.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express & PayPal. PayPal customers must have a confirmed address on file with PayPal. Customers must provide a daytime telephone number to be used in case of any shipping difficulties.

Shipping
- We ship via FedEx and USPS. Shipping charges are calculated at time of payment and are dependent on the number of items purchased and the destination shipping address.
Due to the value of most purchases, a signature is required for delivery. This policy limits our ability to ship to PO Boxes.
All international shipments (destinations outside the U.S) will be sent via FedEx. Please feel free to contact us in advance for shipping charges - international customers are encouraged to do so.
