Enid Bagnold( Playwright/Author) Typed Signed Letter Dated March 29, 55 that reads:
Dear Irving,
I was enchanted to get your letter. It brought back all your peculiar ( almost Chinese) position ...of necessary inscrutability, neutral kindness ( masking real kindness) and above all a sort of endearing,  baffling, sense that one was being observed,  and observed with silent indulgence. There!  Have you ever had such odd things said to you before And, believe  me, they are all good. They may not sound it but they are good.
I am so glad you are looking.     forward to seeing me again.  I am too- to see you.
This is just a note of affection.        And to thank you for your
letter.
