    Description

    Lulu Glaser handwritten signed letter, dated 1927. Very poignant, as Glaser writes, "My retirement from the stage was forced upon me by certain managers, who objected to my nurturing an independent opinion so I was thrown among the discards and no longer permitted to appear -- however it is most gratifying to know as indicated by our kind letter, that I am not forgotten." The letter is closed with a very bold signature. 7" x 10", on Glaser's embossed stationery. Very Good to Excellent condition.
