NEW Thigh High Boots Signed by KINKY BOOTS Broadway Cast!

Description

- Red Patent Leather, platform, Thigh High Boots, Size 7, lace up the back,
- New, never worn. AWESOME & UNIQUE.
- Platform = about 2 ¼”
- Heel = about 6” from top of heel to ground;
- About 24 ¼” from TOP of heel to top of the boot, measured up the back
-I have never seen these listed for sale anywhere else. These were never available for sale to the general public. They were a “thank you” gift from the Broadway musical Kinky Boots to people who donated a large amount of money to a charity. They are shoes that were made for the Broadway cast members! Wear them out, or put them on display in your living room - on a pedestal or behind glass! They are gorgeous, unique, and great for Broadway lovers and/or fans of Kinky Boots. It’s killing me to part with these

-I usually wear a 7 ½. If I have to size up or down, I always size up to an 8.
However these fit me
!!
-FYI, these are women’s sizes, but they are made to fit and support some with a large and/or “male” build. (Sorry, I usually prefer to use gender neutral words, but I think using non-neutral terms is helpful, in this instance.)
I know for sure that all of the signatures are legitimate, as I personally picked them up from the stage door of the Broadway theatre!

Ensemble & understudy for “Mr. Price,” “Don,” and “George.” This is one where I’m about 75% sure that I have identified the signature correctly. I spent many hours analyzing the signature, and comparing cast lists and dates to see who was in the show when this was signed. I’ve also seen this exact signature other times, when I know he was in the cast, and this signature is not on a program signed my a great many of the cast members in the pre-Broadway tryout - and Mr. Tewksbury was not in that cast.

-There’s an article available online that says, “Playbill zoomed in on the artistry at the boots of

, which were conceptualized by costume designer
Gregg Barnes
and are custom-made from molds of each individual performers’ feet by Broadway shoemaker extraordinaire T.O. Dey….It can take workers a full week to complete a single pair of these custom boots from start to finish, which require incorporating a steel shank capable of handling a man’s weight into a woman’s shoe…The boots are made to last…”
-There’s a Hollywood Reporter article that says they were custom made by “T.O.Dey, a custom-shoe factory a block from the theater that supplies 80 percent of Broadway shows…” The article continues, that factor owner Gina Bifulco made “150 pairs of boots, customized for the show's 20 performers -- informed by their feet, body size and dance moves --
for up to ,000 a pair
.”
-I got these signed in December of 2014, so the signatures would include cast members who were performing then. I cannot
guarantee
which cast members did or did not sign the boots. But I did
hours
and
hours
and
hours
of research, cross referencing who was in the cast at the time, and analyzing the signatures that were difficult to read. I did this by looking up other signatures by the same performer. For example, after MUCH research, I discovered that “John Jeffrey Martin” signs his name as “Jeff.” He was in the original, pre-Broadway tryouts, and I saw he was in that cast, and I saw that someone named “Jeff” had signed that playbill, etc. This is just a
tiny
example of the extensive research I did. I have identified 26 signatures on one boot and 28 signatures on the other boot. (Just about everyone signed each boot once, except one person – Annaleigh Ashford, signed one boot twice and didn’t sign the other boot at all.) There are also about 4 signatures I couldn’t identify – 2 on each boot. I’m fairly certain these are the same people, so that’s only 2 signatures I couldn’t ID. If you have any questions about why/how I identified a certain signature, PM me and I’d be happy to let you know. I kept notes about much of my research.

condition. The box has a few, small imperfections - along the top corners, and on the top if the light hits is just right. I'm happy to send photos, but I'm picky and I'd proudly use this box if I gave it as a gift. It's a shoe box FROM THE SHOE FACTORY IN THE SHOW! (These boxes are used in the show.) There are two places on the boots where someone smudged the sharpie, but it doesn’t smudge the signatures. Also, in a few places, if you look closely, you can see some shoe glue. I’m very, very picky and this wouldn’t bother me at all, but I want to make sure you’re 1000% thrilled with your purchase. (It looks way worse in the close up photos than in person, in my honest opinion.) There’s also a tiny mark near the toe of one boot – clearly shown in the posted pics. I have over 30 more pictures I’d be happy send, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. I’m super picky, and these look excellent to me, but I want to clearly disclose every tiny imperfection so that you are thrilled with your purchase. Don’t hesitate to PM me.
