Who doesn't love a mystery? Well, this gentleman poses a very interesting one. I purchased him from someone who advised he was part of a collection of "customized" Play Scale figures. I did my research and found that Mattel did indeed produce many dolls depicting teenagers from the insanely popular Mexican series "Rebelde" - based on the original "Rebelde Way" from Argentina. However, I could not find ANYWHERE that they had produced any adult characters from that show.
Yet here he stands, in his impeccably tailored Elite Way red jacket with the famous emblem on the breast. His white shirt and School tie are neatly in place. His pants are khaki, instead of the dark ones the Mattel dolls sported, and he wears grey plastic dress shoes with socks that match his outfit! Who is he, this man with the grey hair and the thoughtful expression? Is he one of the teachers? The head of the school? I would love to know!
