    Description

Theater poster of the Phantom of the Opera (PTO) "Appearing Eight Times A Week," Majestic Theatre, 247 W. 44th Street.  Poster features the Brooklyn Bridge, New York City skyline with Empire State Building and Twin Towers.  Original signatures of 30 cast members in silver Sharpie plus signed by Howard McGillin (the lead role) in black Sharpie on the Phantom's mask.  Signed by Kris Koop (who performed for 12 years in 3 female roles - Christine, Carlotta and Madame Giry), Chip Huddleston (1990-1998 as Monseigneur Firmin), Joelle Gates (as Meg Giry), and others.   There is a lot of glare and reflection in my pictures because it is framed behind glass and in a dark silver/black metal frame.  Heavy, weighs 3 1/2 pounds before packaging and measures 22 X 14 inches.  Professionally framed by  Island Art Center, S.I., NY.  I will provide my personal Certificate of Authenticity and lifetime guarantee as to the signatures on the poster.  Priority/Insured postage .00.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's The PTO previewed on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre in January of 1988.  Howard McGillin used to hold the record for the most performances by an actor in the title role (currently held by Brad Little), joining the Broadway cast in 1999. He was part of the musical when it became the longest-running production in Broadway history on January 9, 2006, and its twenty-first anniversary on January 26, 2009.  McGillin played his last performance in the role on July 25, 2009, marking his 2,544th show.
