RARE & BEAUTIFUL Voluta hennequini from Trujillo Bay, 42mm

Description

Up for auction is a super rare and exceptional specimen of Voluta hennequini, right at 42mm by my calipers, from Trujillo Bay, Honduras. Really nice dark coloration and super condition. Overall a wonderful and very difficult to obtain species.  There is some confusion as to whether this form is more properly called hennequini or garciai, but I am following the workers who believe the Trujillo Bay forms are hennequini.  From the glory trips of coastal Honduras from long ago when divers like Masino, Harland and Hennequin were doing the exciting new field work in this area.  Night SCUBA, exact data accompanies
