For 25 years my bookstore has dealt primarily with rare and unusual books, but every now and then a big collection of other things comes in. We've just acquired an autograph collection that may take us years to go through - so we're testing the eBay waters with a sampling of things to see if there's any interest.

The gentleman who assembled this collection devoted himself full time to autograph collecting after a long career in academia. He spent his retirement writing letters to celebrities, scientists, athletes, artists & requesting signatures on First Day Covers and index cards and photographs. He went to the theatre and waiting at stage doors for actors; he went to conventions and store openings to get autographs every chance he got. The local mailman nicknamed him "Mr. Do Not Bend" for the steady stream of self-addressed enveloped he received every day from every manner of public figure. I am 100% confident in these autographs, and will stand behind their authenticity -- if you're not completely confident (please don't bid) -- but if you ever have reason to wonder, you can return them to me.
