This is quite a vintage individual school style xylophone with case. The 20 black and red tone blocks are beautiful. There is wear of paint and discolored on the bars and the tones are exceptional. This said, am a mom and not a music teacher with a precise ear. Each block is individual. To explain the individual blocks: These would be handed out to each student with a mallet and music to learn to play as a group by the music teacher. Students would pay attention to read music and play their tone block. Some of the bars are loose at the base of the rubber bumpers but do stay in place. This beautiful musical instrument is placed flat in its case. It measures 18” X 19” X 3” deep. The black case has two buckles, handle and two removable back hinges. The lid removes to play. There are two wooden mallets and two rubber mallets. An extra plastic Mallet as well. Example of notes CDEFGA. #CDFGACDF#
