  • Condition: Some rust and pitting on the bars, but decent paint. Base is in very good condition. All the bars sound good. Case is in decent condition for the age. Must have come from a school because the # 192 is written on the case with marker.

    Description

    Vintage 20 sound bar, school type xylophone, manufactured by Rhythm Band Inc., Ft Worth, Texas.  The set has metal sound bars and a wooden base, in the original case.  The set is 17" long and 9" at the widest.  Most of the paint is still on the metal bars but there is some pitting and a little rust showing on them.  This does not affect the sound.  The wooden frame is in very good condition.  I am assuming it originally came from a school because the #192 is written on the top of the case in white marker.  I bought this at an auction 30+ years ago for some reason, and it has been in my toy closet ever since.
